“Uh, Reid Hillview Tower, this is… uh…”

Sound like a pro
on the radio.

The airplane is the easy part.

The radio is what makes student pilots sweat. Practice real calls with an AI controller that talks back, on a living airport that moves when you say the right thing.

The problem

Mic fright is real.

Controllers talk fast, the phraseology is its own language, and every mistake goes out live with the whole frequency listening. So you keep your calls short, let your instructor handle the rest, and it never gets better. What actually fixes it is reps — somewhere you can botch a call without an audience.

Hear it, say it, watch it happen

Signature drill

If you can draw it, you understood it.

Hear a random clearance at a real airport, then draw the route on the field with your finger. It's graded against the actual taxiway geometry. Palo Alto today, Concord's crossing runways tomorrow, Deer Valley when you're ready.

Honest grading

Every call is graded element by element. Your words and the model call, side by side.

Real voices

AI controllers with real cadence, at the speed you choose. Not a phone voice with static on top.

Then you fly the circuit

Position reports, tower calls, go-arounds. The airplane flies what you say, leg by leg.

FAQ

Questions.

Do I need a flight simulator or any equipment?
No. It runs on your phone. If your phone has a microphone, you have everything you need.
I've never flown. Is this over my head?
No. It starts at the phonetic alphabet and assumes nothing. If your first lesson is still ahead of you, that's the best time to start.
How does the grading work?
Your transmission is transcribed with an aviation-tuned speech model, then checked element by element against a fixed rubric for that call. You see a verdict on each piece, your exact words, and the model call next to them.
Are these real airports?
Yes. Diagrams and taxi routes come from real airport geometry, and clearances are generated on it. The airport on this page is the real Reid Hillview (KRHV).
Does it replace my CFI?
No. It replaces the part where you rehearse in the car on the way to the airport and hope the right words come out. The flying is still your CFI's job.
When does it launch, and on what?
iOS first, in small groups. Android is on the roadmap. Invites go out in waitlist order.
Is my voice data stored?
Recordings are used to transcribe and grade your call, and you can review your own attempts. We don't sell data. A full privacy policy ships with the app.
